Background

Body Bronze originally grew out of our founder's passion for the tanning industry.

In 1989, our first salon was established in Southport.  In 1995, the first Melbourne salon was opened and proved to be an immediate success.  Our salon formula lead to customers asking to participate in our business concept, so we developed as a franchise business.

We have over 40 franchised salons across Victoria.  Projections for further domestic growth are advancing with a strong focus in the provision of beauty services.

Reliability and support

We have a strong brand, proven track record and sound operating systems backed up by 20 years in the industry and 11 years of franchising experience.

We provide you with a solid foundation of corporate knowledge, ensuring that all the essential elements of a supportive franchise system are in place, before commencing any commercial operations.

Once operational, you will have regular contact with our Business Development Managers to help you with any queries that might arise in day to day business.

Our support office is there to help you on your way to success.

License to operate as a Body Bronze salon

When you join us, we license the Body Bronze name, logo, trademarks and intellectual property to you.  You become a guardian of our valuable brand.

As a franchisee, you are acknowledged as an independent business, sharing in the established market reputation of the body Bronze network.

Term of contract and fees 

The up front, all inclusive cost of a franchise ranges between $180,000 to $240,000. This also includes a franchise fee of $25,000 exclusive of GST.

Thereafter you pay royalty fees of 6% of gross turnover and advertising and marketing fees of 3% of gross turnover.

The franchise agreement term is 5 years. When you renew your franchise agreement and roll into the second 5 year term there is a $1,500 renewal fee applicable to cover legal expenses.

Location of your salon

As franchisee and franchisor, we both have a responsibility to conduct site selection research, to ensure our future business has the best opportunity and location to bear fruit.  Ultimately it is your final decision to commit to a paticular site.

We assist you with location set up and/or site conversion support. 

Training

Our training is comprehensive, including high customer care standards, a demonstrated formula of professionalism in our service sector and expert product knowledge.  Operational procedures and business management modules are also covered.

Product supply

We develop, source, test and reliably supply all salons with the products that make their business run.  This is to ensure performance quality standards are met across the network.  We also have greater buying negotiation power as a network, delivering better cost prices to you. 

Salon presentation and product display

Our franchise support team are trained in brand awareness and visual merchandising.  They will help to ensure your salon looks fantastic and is given the best opportunity for maximising sales.

Upholding Standards

You create the customer rapport in your salon.  Our standards and expectations across the network are high.  We will offer help by regularly monitoring and helping to maintain service levels via our support team and reported mystery customer experiences.

Legal and accountancy support

We work closely with both our legal and accounting representatives to ensure we pass on timely, relevant business information pertinent to our industry to you.

National advertising, local area marketing and promotion co-ordination

Brand awareness, national advertising and promotion co-ordination is conducted across the network from our support office at Kew.  We can also support you with any specific local or wider marketing activity you might like to invest in.  We have a design team to assist your salon's promotional activity.

Our executive board will fairly review the information, make inquiries as outlined and authorised in the document and respond shortly.

Review

When financial requirements are met and a sound partnership between us has been identified, a memorandum of understanding can be exchanged.  The Body Bronze Franchise Agreement can be reviewed by your legal counsel.  Feautres of your business plan will need to be considered and an asessment made with your financial advisor.

Financial and written commitment

After the review period, we will ask you to sign the Franchise Agreement with us and pay the franchise fee to us.  The Operations Manual will be delivered to you.

Training

Your essential two week training program will be scheduled within a company salon, whilst the preparation for setting up your salon progresses. 

Opt out

It's worth noting that the signed Franchise Agreement allows either of us to opt out if we do not want to pursue the relationship.  This allows us to discontinue the partnership should you not meet the required standards to join us.

Launch

During your training, your salon site transformation should be completed.  We will have alerted local press to a grand opening launch event at your salon.  We will be there to support you and your team, with all of the promotional material you will need to launch.

Support

We will help you create promotional activity and local awareness.  You can build your business, participating in local events, finding your place in the local community, developing lasting relationships with your customers.

Our franchise support team will help you with queries that come up in day to day business.
